Technical moment... Believe it or not this sprocket was fitted to the Transalp three years ago and ran 80,000km until it started spitting out the retainer screws. We took it apart and checked it, the latch plate was worn but the gearbox shaft is still in good condition despite the total 250,000 km travelled. It is known that the gearbox shaft is a weak point of Honda V52 engines, but thanks to the superpinion for the moment we can still think of covering at least another 80,000 km on this truly immortal bike. We paid for the pinion like anyone else who is smart enough to buy a product that serves to prevent major damage to Honda motorcycles with this engine, and we reiterate that in our opinion it is money well spent.
