This explains the difference between a normal sprocket and a Superpinion from Kkbike International srls (both new) on a worn shaft (not too much!). The backlash that has taken over the pinion will increase more and more until it definitively ruins the shaft. The Superpinion, on the other hand, eliminates any kickback and makes the shaft last much longer over time!
